The Muddiford Inn

The Muddiford Inn: once a historic 16th century coaching inn, now a family run pub & restaurant, located in the charming village of Muddiford, and only a 10-minute drive from Barnstaple. With its low ceilings, open fire places and huge garden it continues to be the centre of the community. A great place to relax, whilst enjoying a drink and its friendly atmosphere.

After changing ownership and management team at the start of 2015 the pub and restaurant have undergone a refreshing refurb and brand new cellar installation bringing the establishment up to date but keeping the traditional pub feel we all love.

With a young enthusiastic team throughout they aim to keep improving the enjoyable ambiance that they have brought to this beautiful country pub, bringing you the finest locally brewed ales and fantastic locally sourced fresh menus.

To go with their programme of modernisation, The Muddiford Inn use eatPOS mobile waiter tablets (and EPOS systems) to take orders. This increases efficiency as they’re not having to go back to the kitchen to relay orders to the chefs. It also eliminates mistakes as orders are printed out in the kitchen automatically from the tablets, rather than being handwritten. Being able to change their menu items, receipt design, stock and much more from anywhere in the world has helped them keep track of their business when they’re not on-site.

The Muddiford Inn needed an EPOS system that was efficient and user friendly and with eatPOS, they were able to get to grips with their systems in a very short time frame. Once they had some time with the system it became second nature; staff were taking orders very quickly which allowed them to spend more time with customers, enhancing their overall experience.
